I would like to buy an Apple PowerCD or a Kodak PCD 880 or a Phillips CDF 100 (do the latter two have scsi ports?). They have to include everything except the power cord. I know they're slow but they match my NeXTstation good. I'm not made of money but am willing to pay a fair price. I know they're slow but they look cool and besides NeXT is not my main computer.

The Philips unit definitely doesn't have SCSI - and I don't believe that the Kodak had it either.

At one time I used one of the Apple PowerCD's w/ a NeXT machine. It worked fine but the CD didn't eject automatically. I can't remember this exactly ... but I believe that if I wanted to eject the CD ... I had to first eject it from the "Workspace" - and then eject it manually from the player. Then, if I wanted to insert another CD, I had to power the player off and then power on [this was done while the NeXT was running] before I could insert another CD. If I didn't do this - the other CD wouldn't be read by the NeXT.

I never tried to boot the OS from the Apple PowerCD.
