I know that Cub'X 5 was released as freeware back when it's company went bust. Sadly, the only place to get the full version to use with the free license key seems to be blackcube, the very complete, yet very slow (like 2 KB/s slow) home of all things NeXT. Does anybody know where to get a faster copy of this?
It's available at simski.org but I don't know what the download speed is:

Much better speeds. Thanks.

I'm sorry if the speed seems inadequate for some, but since I don't have to pay for hosting or bandwidth, I have to throttle the download speed to 2kbps per channel. I'm sharing a 4.5mbps frame relay circuit with 24 production remote application servers and as they say, "paying customers come first".
The only other option is to pay for hosting or a T1 just for the site and at this time, I can't afford that. I am building a new ftp server that will have more disk space available. I have another 60-80gb of stuff to load on for sgi, AIX, Mac, general electronics and other things but no disk space. I'm also going to take the time to try and organize the archives better. I know it's a jumbled mess right now.

For most of what you have, the slow speed isn't an issue. It's only when you get to the realm of 300MB ISO files and the like that it becomes an issue...
Thanks for your awesome service and may the stars someday align in a way that lets you speed it up a bit ;)
I've been thinking this over for a while so I'm going to try an experiment. I know it's not much, but I bumped the speed limit on outbound connections up to 3kbps. We'll see how that goes.

Thanks for keeping these files available to the NeXT community. Your work is very much appreciated. 8)
