Title: NeXT applications for sale

Hello everyone.  I am sorting and selling my NeXT stuff and I thought I would start with a box of applications.  The OS is easy to find, but applications to put on the machine once it is up and running are harder to find.

1. Microphone Pro for Next: Complete in box.  All inserts and media included. All original. Serial number in box. Box in good shape, glossy but a bit squished.

2. Mathematica 2.0 for Next: Lots of books disks, license number. Boxed set in great shape. All original media.

3. PasteUp 2.5 - User manual and software packet w/3 disks and license. All original. No box. This is a cool program :) It does page layout very well.  I used it for a while in the early 90s.

4. Executor 2.0 and 2.0t - No box, but CDs are original and in cases. Serial and license included. This lets you run Macintosh apps on your NeXT. It doesn't install the MacOS, but recreates some of the APIs (I guess.)

5. Nebula 1996, 4th edition - A ton of NeXT apps.  Original CD in case. Collection from freeware at the time.

The following are on Optical Disk (yes, my drive worked for a while before it pooped out. These all worked at the end.) Some of the plastic cases are cracked. They *are* really old.

1. Lighthouse Design Ltd, The First Compilation Disk - I don't remember what is on it to tell you the trust.  No box. Original OD and OD media. 1 OD with insert.

2. Adamation 1.0 - "A fully automated client management system for the NeXT computer."  Never tried it. Original OD case w/insert and original OD. No box.

3. Adobe Plus Pack - It is an Adobe type library. Original OD case and OD media with insert. No box.

Also on OD, **these came with a machine I bought after my OD died. I don't know what is actually on them**
1. NextStep 3.0 Master, says the label, but it is a home made label.
2. "APPS" is written on this one
3. Wingz for NeXT - No box. Original case with an unlabeled OD inside.  I honestly can't say it is the application. It doesn't appear to be original media.
4. 1 blank OD, no label at all.
5. 1 blank NeXT branded OD. Nothing on the label.
6. NeXT branded Software Release 2.0 - It has 2 1 something unintelligible written on the label, so this might be overwritten with something else. Can't say for sure.

I would like $50 each for the packaged originals. Best offer for the OD stuff that I am not certain about. $300 for the entire lot. Let me know if you would like any pictures and I will send some.  Thanks!

Since helf made an offer on Executor first, I'll let him get first dibs, but if not, I'll be interested in Executor.  If I still had a cube, I'd love to get the Adamation software as well.  But it'd be kind of hard to force that OD into my floppy drive/CD drive on my slab.   8)

go ahead and get it kb7. I'm really too broke right now. I'll make arrangements with you later ;)

Won't one of the external SCSI OD drives by like canon work with NeXT OD discs?

Sadly, no. I've tried it and it doesn't work. Turns out the firmware is different. I have had some pretty good luck resurrecting the NeXT OD drives though.

If people have OD media they'd like to have dumped, I can probably help out.

How do you have done that, can you provide some steps with pictures from a digicam?

I'll try to put together some instructions. Mostly just cleaning the linear optical encoder, positioning the head, and swapping parts.
Title: Only Mathematica left

Looks like everything sold except Mathematica.  If anyone is interested please let me know.  Asking $50.  Includes many floppy disks (originals, unopened) and many books.

Thanks!

Hope no one minds me asking, but who bought the Adamation package?  Can you let me know how it works.  Thanks.  8)
