Is there a standard 'type' of cd-rom r/rw drive I can use for the NeXT Station
Color Slab? :? While I'm at it I hope I'm in the right forum this time. Thanks!..

Just about any SCSI CD drive should work.  I believe the NeXT branded CD was a Sony drive in a NeXT enclosure.  The PLI also used a Sony drive IIRC.
I use a NEC MultiSpin 6X (model # CDR 602).  I know that the NEC  MultiSpin 3X (model # CDR 600) also works.
