I am looking for media of that size. Never saw any before, well I have some floppies labeld as 2 MB but when formatted the size is 1440 ...
IBM made (or t least sold) 2.88Mb floppies.
The discs are actually 4 MB unformatted and format to 2.88 MB. They are labeled as "ED" for "extra high density."
The ones I have are from Verbatim (MF2-ED) and Sony (MFD-2ED). Toshiba also made a version (PMF-2ED). Back in the day, they were available at outlets like Office Depot - but they weren't cheap - about $7 ea.

I found this link a while back, but I haven't ordered any disks from them because they don't have a company address on the website, just a PO box.

I have a couple of boxes of them still. I sold some new boxes on eBay last year all I have left are opened boxes though most of the floppies are not used.
