I don't get it.
I swapped out a bad 3COM ISA network card and now whenever the system (running NeXTStep 3.3) boots it goes up to "Starting Automounter" before hanging.
Is it possible that it is choking because the net card now has a different mac address than it is expecting? Are you mounting any external shares that Automount may not able to see now due to the network being different and or not configured due to the new card?
Just a few random thoughts.
