I figured you guys would love this.  I got NEXTSTEP 3.3 running under qemu-0.9.0 on one my older Sun Boxes running Solaris 10.  Compiling the older version of qemu took onger on the Sparc because most of the updated configs for Sparc compilation are in newer versions of qemu.  Oh well, it's patched w/ the busmouse & pcap patches.  It works.  8)   Here's a a link to the screenshot.

I had to test it.  The one thing that don't work is sound because this is a sparc that only has sun audio.  But this was mostly for fun.  I need to see if SoftWindows/Executor work.  That'll prove how well the emulation is.  Oh well, something for another day.  take care.

rofl.  That box isn't quite that fast.  It's only really used for VPN usage & I compile stuff on it as well.  I had a few minutes to play while I was working on some things.  So, I figured I'd try compiling qemu.  The key item that NEXTSTEP/OPENSTEP would run on it.   That means I needed 0.9.0.  The busmouse patch needs updated for 0.9.1.  I compiled it like 3 different times before I got everything set just right.  I'll take some more screenshots this week sometime & throw the binary up in the misc directory in case anyone wants to mess w/ it.  Take care.

Now that would be a task.  lol.  Tell ya what, I'll work on the lower end layer & you work on the display code!  8)  That would be awesome though.  Sure wish OPENSTEP had a bsd4.4 code base instead of 4.3.   Take care.
