Title: Inside the Mono monitor.

Because I was only able to afford shipping for just one of the two mono monitors I got with my cube, I don't have a second (and rather worn out by the sounds of it) to mess around with.
Does anyone know how easy it is to gut a mono monitor of everything relating to (and including) the tube and leave the internal sound and keyboard connections intact? I have this idea to remove the video circuitry (and the tube) from a worn or dead mono monitor and replace it with a color LCD screen (that is powered by the cube) and add a 13W3 socket to the back of the monitor so you could hook it up to the NeXTDimension board in a cube (thus eliminating an external sound box and a need to have a second wall outlet to power the LCD panel.
Also, does anyone know how much a mono monitor weighs without a tube installed?
