I have decided to sell a NeXT Dimension Cube (25mhz), a NeXT Cube 030 with a working Optical Drive (at least the last time I tested it), two NeXT stationsa and two NeXTstatiion Turbo's. I alos have four or five Iris indigo's for sale at least one or two with Elan graphic's board installed.
I'm packing for a move to a now in May and I thnk it's a good time to "thin the herd" of some machines that I never turn on. also the sale of these machnies will fund my future purchase of a TAM and a Lisa.
I'll keep everyone posted as to what I find to sell as I inventory and pack for my move.
How much for the dimension cube?

Depends on if you want the NeXT N4005 21" monitor and the N4000a monochrome monitor.
As it sits (and I haven't fired it up in over two years), it has 48mb ram, 8mb on the Dimension, no floppy, no OD, the 21" N4005, a good clear N4000a, non-adb keyboard and mouse. The case is good condition. I was thinking of listing it on ebay with a reserve of $600 without monitors, $75 more for the 21" , $25 more for the monochrome. But I'm always open to offers. Shipping will be expensive, I'm in Dallas, 75252 zipcode. My ebay id is sparks77.
The Dimension board and 21" monitor has bee nsold to a list member pending shipping arrangement.
As I get more stuff prepped, I'll get it on the forum.

Blackcube, are you selling the BeBox? as I know of a person who wants to buy one, he's a developer.

No, the Bebox has a permanent home. What I am selling as of this point in time, is two NeXTstation Turbo's, Two mono-stations, four or five Sgi Iris Indigo's and maybe one or two Daystar Genesis MP528's.
Was it just the dimension board that was sold? Not the cube as well? If so, how much for it now? :) And how much for the turbos and what are the specs on them? And do you have any software for sale?
Wooo, Daystar Genesis eh? I always wanted one of these babys. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Genesis MP is quad MPC604, the MP+ is quad MPC604E, that correct is it?
How much are they?
brams
Isn't that a quad 132mhz mac clone?
Yeah, it was actually better than any Mac at the time, way better. Much like the PowerComputing Power Tower Pro but with 4 processors and mega build quality.
ah, cool :) Wonder if BeOS would run on it. I bet OSX Server v1.0 would run nicely on it depending on how much ram it has.
Yup BeOS runs fine on it, I can vouch for it running fine SMP on the PowerComputing Power Tower Pro 225 I had fitted with a DayStar nPower 400 dual 604E CPU. If you read through the old Be developer news letters which can be found on the net, you can read that BeOS was ported to Mac PPC in a last minuet rush at one of the Macworld shows, they ported it on a PowerComputing machine, on the stand the night or two before the show started.
Blackcube has had it running on one of his Genesis Machines if you check his website out he talks about it. That's why I'd like one, BeOS on a quad 604E, that would be nice, I'd like to see the FPS out of GL teapot.
Not sure about Rhapsody/OS X Server 1.0, but is it SMP enabled? OS 4.2 Mach isn't.

BeOS haula ass on all of the Daystars. My MP800+ ia running 7.5.x, 8.1, 8.6 and BeOS 5.03 PPC as a multiboot configuration Those tall-assed Genesis towers hold a ton of drives so setting up a seperate drive for each os is no big deal.
I have three Genesis 2 MP528 1 MP800+ and a Millennium. I'm running 10.2.8 Jaguar on one of them using xPostFacto and a Sonnet G4 800 card.
So how much is one of the 528's?, do you have a juicy CPU card for it?.
BTW out of interest as I work with cars, what happend to the catalysts on yours?
I'm still trying to find a Non ADB soundbox if you have one.
from your site...
"The Turbo Color "slab" was my first NeXT system. It has 128 mb ram on the motherboard, a 2.88 mb floppy drive, a 4.2gb hard drive, a NeXT-Hitachi 21" monitor, ADB keyboard and mouse and an ADB sound box. It is also equipped with a NeXT laser printer. I have since supplied an external SCSI box with a SCSI zip drive, a 12x SCSI CD-ROM drive and a 2.1 gb hard drive. I recently totally refurbished the slab with a NOS power supply, a new cooling fan, new SCSI hard drive, NOS floppy drive and a complete strip-down and cleaning. It's ready for another ten years of worry-free operation."
still have that? I would *love* that system :P if nothing else, the printer and adb soundbox and monitor.
Helf, where abouts are you? I have a NeXT laser printer and a NeXT/Hitachi 21" I'd part with.
I'm in alabama, USA.

I'm keeping the Turbo Color slab.

I haven't set a price or specs for the Genesis boxes yet. When I do, I'll let you know.
You are correct about the PPC versions.

I'm not sure about the specs on the turbo's. I'm packing to move to a new house, so it seemed like a good time to clean out some extra's.
Yes I still have the cube. I was considering putting it on ebay. No software for sale as I'm keeping the rest of my NeXT's.
If you would like to PM me an offer, feel free to do so.

The 528's have a quad PPC 604-132mhz card. I have been running one of them with either a Sonnet G3-500 or a Sonnet G4-800 card (I have both cards). I'm going to keep the MP800+ (quad 200mhz 604e).
I'm pretty sure I probably have a spare non-adb sound box. I have 50-60 66 liter bins of parts stored in my garage and 10x10 mini-storage building. I know for a fact, there are five or six bins of hard drives alone and one 66 liter bin full of memory simms.
As for the car, my SLK-320 munched two of it's four converters. The cats on the SLK have an extremely high failure rate. Normally, MB replaces them under the 8 year 80k miles emissions warranty but they claim there scrape marks on mine so it's outside mechanical damage not covered by warranty. So I have to buy new ones at almost two grand for all four cats, not including the labor or required four new O2 sensors. The total bill would run almost three thousand at the dealer$hip. I'm buying a set of recertified cats and installing them myself for around $1500 parts only.

Typical... try a different stealership or just let them know your lawyer will give them a call because they can't deny warranty on items like that because they have external damage, they need to prove the reason for failure is that... I don't like stealerships... they're all like that...
Sorry I didn't mean to hijack the thread. Ignore this everybody!

WOW thats some serious computer hardware you got there, basically you don't know how much and what you have, that make it even more fun when you find unexpected goodies.
I worked as an MB Master Tech for 9 years, prior to the SLK coming out from 1985 till 1994. I'm Service/Technical Manager of a Jaguar/Bentley/Rolls-Royce & Lamborghini importer in the Middle East.
I take it you've taken the car to more than one MB dealer?, have you kicked off at MB customer services (that usually does the trick in the UK).

I'm the ultimate packrat - at least according to my wife.
I have taken it to both dealers in this area. The next dealer not associated with this one is 600 miles away.
I have contacted MB customer service and no response there either. Which disappoints me as I own both the SLK and a ML320 and was talking to my dealer about picking up a new GL450 when they are released in the US. I really love both the ML and the SLK but the TCO has been really high. Not all the car's fault. I drive aggressively, so the back tires on the SLK wear really fast, I spilled a cup of coffee into the console and toasted the transmission electronics. That cost me $1200. So it's not the car's fault but my cost per mile is really high.
As it is, I've owned FIAT, Lancia, Porsche, Audi, MB, Volvo, VW. Alfa and German/English Ford (Capri) through my years for driving experience. I like the MB's the best. So, I'll gripe a bit, drag out my checkbook and pay the freight.
All my computer gear is at my mums place. I was going to get an Onyx II Deskside IR but my mum went mad when she saw how big they are. She panics anytime a van pulls up outside her house in case it's something I've bought.
I'd be keen to know what you have eventually as I might get some gear off you, esp a Non ADB soundbox, I've been trying everywhere to get one.
I too have a bit of a soft spot for Mercedes-Benz, they pioneered so many things like direct fuel injection in the 50's on the 300SL Gullwing and the Z-Drive (Desmodromic valve actuation) on the W196 grand prix car.
If you're happy with it then that's OK, but you're 100% sure you found or at least know the cause of the CAT failure, it take less than a couple of minuets probably much shorter to kill at CAT at anything more than idle.
Capri was a tail happy mother of a car, I remeber it well, my mate had a Capri 3.0 JPS Edition.
