Hi. I would really like to use NeXTSTEP, but I ran into a problem yesterday when trying to install it.
Since I got ony one computer and a perfect OS X installation, the only choice was Parallels Desktop 3.0. I got NeXTSTEP 3.3.
Basically I almost get to finish the installation, pass through all the text based stuff (with the floppies/drivers...), and after setting up the SCSI, some sort of GUI pops up on a higher resolution that looks like this:

And then I guess it hangs. Is this normal? I waited like 20 minutes and nothing happened.
What is it doing? What should I be doing?Help please..
Thanks in advance.
Hi!
As you can see i am experiencing the same problem. :x
http://www.nextcomputers.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1569Did you find a solution to this problem?
I disabled everything that could stand in the way. Even the Core Duo VT-x.
Nothing seems to help. It always freezes.
I will make now a final test with some fixed screen resolutions.
Hopefully i will get a copy of Openstep 4.2, then i will try again.
