NeXT Non-ADB mouse to Microsoft In-port Hack

Note: I have not completed this, and the information presented here dates back to 2002

......................................................................................................................................................

I missed the feel of my non-adb NeXT mouse, so I set out to make it work on my OPENSTEP box.

I would need to make a keyboard and mouse work with the PS/2, USB, or a Bus mouse port. I have yet to find a way to use the Non-ADB keyboard on a PC, the ADB keyboard has got to be among the crappiest keyboards in terms of feel I ever used, and as such, would not be worth getting an ADB > USB converter to allow its use. The same goes for the ADB mouse, the grandpappy of the much maligned Apple "hockeypuck" mouse. It's too small for my hand, but I kind of like the rounded feel of it. However, not as much as I like the square, brick, non-ADB mouse!

I got a Microsoft Bus Mouse and a couple of In-port cards, and set out to do the reverse of the most common Logitech/Microsoft Bus mouse > NeXT procedure described in numerous USENET postings and in the FAQ.
