I installed the OpenStep 4.2 on a white box.My display adapter is ATI Xpert 98 8mb.I downloaded the driver and installed it.But is is still b/w.Why?

you have to specify a mode in the system configuration thingie....

Do you mean configure.app.I enter Nextadmin and click configure.app.I add ATI Rage 8 MB driver and set it at 800x600.But still b/w when I reboot.

You must add the PCI device ID for your device.

Check /var/adm/messages for the hex representation of your devices (similar to 0x4c05b00012..)

Add the ID of the ATI device to the list of IDs for the ATI driver.

There is still some information about this on the internet.

Now, I am using VESA display driver.I wili try adding ID later.Anyway,thanks.
