What do you think?
Methinks it is god awful and can only hope and pray they make is loads better before release.
It looks like the bastard child of OSX and Vista.
*edit*
Guess it would help if I provided a link to images

KDE is always following, never leading.
It's quite sad really.
KDE not created by artistes. It's all about the QT4 libs.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6642148224800885420&hl=enThat's where the strength is, IMO. Once people get their hands on KDE4.1 and have a chance to play with and improve it, it will be somewhere.
The bastard child of OSX & Vista can be true, however, KDE1, 2, and 3 were the bastard child of Win98 and MacOS, so I think they're staying true to their heritage. The goal of KDE is not to solely to innovate (which they do in their own way), but to provide something usable, and slightly predictable.
To me, KDE vs GNOME is a moot arguement, because it's WindowMaker all the way. The apps I use depend on their performance, therefore, I have GTK1&2, QT3&4, Tk, Motif/Lesstif all living together happily - whether on Linux or Solaris.
