"For auction Next Computers - Next Cube Workstation catalog.  Steve Job's "next" computer after leaving Apple. Very advanced hardware and software design for the early 1990's.  Brochure is the same size as the computer.  Approx. 24 pages

Ship to the United States only.

Thank you.
"

Thats right the BROCHURE can be yours for only $200.00 USD.

I submitted an offer of $5 and was declined.  What a surprise.

What won't be a surrpise is that this simply will *not* sell.

eBay has a bunch of sellers that think that because an item might be kinda hard to get, it is automatically worth HUNDREDs!!!

They also think they can plaster "rare" on every auction and get premium prices for it. Like C64s for $150 + . HA! they'd have to be REALLY nice and special C64s for that kind of cash. I picked up 2 one day with tape drives, floppy drives, etc, for $25 and I thought that was overpriced :P

On a side note I see that basic cubes have gone up in price again:
"next cube computer system  3.3, 32 ram  261 scsi hard drive. keyboard and mouse, power cord
no monitor"(click for link) (http://cgi.ebay.com/NEXT-COMPUTER-CUBE-KEYBOARD-MOUSE_W0QQitemZ300228171827QQihZ020QQcategoryZ4193QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) - Buy it now for a mere $400

Or if that's not expensive enough, how about this : a "Rare" NeXT Cube (http://cgi.ebay.com/Next-Cube-Model-N1000A-Low-S-ABA0001944-Works_W0QQitemZ190224221467QQihZ009QQcategoryZ4193QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247) - ie get a 25Mhz cube for an outrageous $999 from our friends at vintage computer museum.

The same absurd price for another manual:

TAM Manual (http://cgi.ebay.com/Twentieth-Anniversary-MacIntosh-Users-Manual_W0QQitemZ380014766435QQihZ025QQcategoryZ378QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247)

Some days ago someone offered just the Bose base unit for a TAM at a strating price of 1500 Bucks. He couldn't answer the question if this base unit also suffered the infamous buzzing sound problem like many others...
On the other hand sometimes no one takes care about offers like the one that gave me my NeXTcube. For weeks someone offered that box for just 50 Swiss Francs and I was lucky to be the only one bidding on it. eBay and alike are very strange places sometimes...
