I'm too brain-dead these days to remember and too busy/lazy to take the time to google around to satisfy my curiosity so...
Did NeXT make a non-ADB "Turbo" model of the Cube or are all Turbo Cube motherboards ADB?
Something in the back of my head tells be that there WERE non-ADB "Turbo" systems.
Damn getting old sucks.
Ok. I got the answer -- Yes. There were BOTH non-ADB and ADB NeXT Turbo systems.
I found out something interesting in the process. non-ADB Turbo systems can be upgraded via ROM to accept ADB devices!!! I can't believe I'd never heard that. I'm not sure about the exact process but it can be done!
Does anyone know the details?
Also, if one can upgrade a non-ADB Turbo Cube motherboard to ADB can this also be done with non-Turbo systems or is the hardware too different?
Enquiring minds want to know!

Wrong sentence: Turbo Systems have a system ROM that can drive non-ADB and ADB hardware. The soundbox or the Monitor says, wich hardware would be used.
Thanks for the correction
Can I read into that the ROM upgradability this does not apply to the non-Turbo systems?

the latest ROM for non-Turbosystems can't handle ADB hardware. (AFAIK v66)
Yeah, that's pretty much what I expected. I guess I'll have to keep looking for a Turbo ADB Cube motherboard. <sigh> someday.
