Hi all,
If you've followed my New compiles thread, you know I've got mod_gzip/mod_dav working w/ Apache now.   I've tested it myself several times now & have asked Andreas to do some testing as well.  I'd like to have some more people test the speed of my iDisk on the Sparc 5.  Only requirement is you need a WebDAV client & keep the files for testing under 50 megs.  Basically need you to store some files/try to download some, etc.  There's 140 megs available on the iDisk.  If you like to give it a shot, the url is http://kb7sqi.com/iDisk or http://kb7sqi.dyndns.org/iDisk.  I'm going to keep it available for several days.  I'd appreciate your responses on how it works speed wise.  I know it seems extremely stable/reliable @ this point.  Thanks!  Linux basically has built-in WebDAV support, you can use something like Goliath/Forklift on a Mac.  Or you can even use the cadaver cli client on your NeXT.  It's working well also.  Thanks again.   Take care.

it doesn't give me any error messages but just closes the connection. I was using BitKinex... Under windows XP. Is there a better webdav program for windows? I've never messed with this before :)

I haven't tried it under Windows XP.   I'll reboot my laptop today & see if I can connect w/ that program and look for other WebDAV clients to test. :-)

I'd try another OS, but all my machines with 'net access right now are windows 2k or xp :/

Just for information: using Forklift 1.5.3 (its something like TotalCommander under Windows) under Leopard works fine.

Thanks for testing un!  Any reports of speed?  It works fast for me as I'm on the same network. ;-)  I did some testing from a server in TX & it seemed pretty decent, but more speed reports would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks again.  Take care.
