What do people here use to clean cases and to preserve the paint? I generally use soap and water...
After I got my Cube, I completely dismantled the case and put the main shell into a warm bath with some dish detergent to soak.
Worked well. 8)
Servisol foam electrical/case cleaner and a nail brush. If it's real dirty I strip it down, dunk it in the bath tub and then use mild detergent like dish washer use.
OK. Seems like we all do something similar. Has anyone used anything like turtlwax wash, or silicon oil to try to preserve the paint?
In the past I put the empty cases in the shower, too. I cleaned them with mild soap and water. Then dried them as fast as possible.
From todays point of view I would use a vacum blower (ahem the thing you suck the dust off the floor), then a soft microfaser-thing for the inside or a soft brush. For the outside some mild soap and water, for the finish clean water, nothing else.
You should never use car wax or sharp cleaning fluids. If you use car wax or silicon products the flat dark grey surface of the cube will get a different shiny look.
Less is better sometimes .. in the past I painted dings and dents with a waterresistand black marker (edding called). But the marker is black, while the cubes are a painted in a very deep grey, so you see the difference.

is there anybody with dismantled manual or something? I would really like to dismantle my cube but do not know how?
and yes I did a mistake, because I cleaned the cube with some rough cloth and now there is a lot of tiny white stripes around .. :x
anybody with idea how to resolve that?
it looks like screen scratches of last generation ipods
I cleaned my NeXTstation Turbo with a soft damp cloth with water + soak, worked perfectly. :D
