Bus No. = 0
Device No. = 10
Func No. = 0
Vendor ID = 1106
Device ID = 3065
Device Class = Network Controller

i google 0x30651106 and apparently its a VIA card and i'm just wondering if there are any drivers for my card so i can google things :D

no dice there....

I use an intel card.. It's easier to just look at the list of supported NIC's and buy one on Ebay...

the 3com 3c905 should have a driver as well, and there ought to be TONNES of them out there.

try for a 3com 3C905 based card. If you can't find one, I can snailmail you a pci card. Are you located in the USA?

nope - canada

found a seller on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.ca/3Com-3C905-TX-10-100mbps-Ethernet-Network-Card-NIC_W0QQitemZ270215494580QQihZ017QQcategoryZ51195QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247

$5 dollar shipping! amazing considering every other one has been like 12 or 21 dollars.

are you sure there are absolutely NO drivers out for my card??? if not i'll just get one off ebay, right now that seller has 13 available so I'm in no hurry.

even if there was, i'd seriously just get the 3c905 card :P 3Coms parallel Tasking chipset is awesome. *everything* supports them and they are rock solid reliable.

btw, if you don't want to spend the ~$10 CAD on one of those, I can just mail you one. I have a stack of them :P

sorry, couldn't wait. I didn't see a shipping insurance option so if my card arrives shattered (i dont know anything about the shipping quality of USPS) i'll be sure to request one from you.

When you first mentioned it i didn't want to inconvenience you - didnt want it to be one of those gee-I-wish-I-didn't-spend-those-ten-dollars-on-shipping-a-networking-card-so-I-could-get-a-cheeseburger situations as you're driving back from the mailing the card to me :D

Now to start a third thread about my sound issue muahahaha!.. or i could just post my issue here - but that would be off topic.. Screw the rules!

ooook so i've got a built in speaker thats connected directly to my motherboard and i've got the system beep driver currently running (so I know when I've been annihilated at chess by the impossible AI). I've also got a 'multimedia card' in a pci slot.

The specs:
Bus No. = 0
Device No. = 9
Func No. = 0
Vendor ID = 1013
Device ID = 6005
Device Class = Multimedia Device
IRQ = 11

google says 0x60051013 is a CS4281

again, are there any drivers for this device and/or is there a driver that can make full use of my built in speaker (aside from system beep)

lengthy post, no?
Thanks in advance!

check and see if there are any "crystal soundfusion" drivers for openstep. one of them should work with it. you might have to do the ID hack as mentioned before.

i've been googling, but so far all i've found are a few references to the driver, but no files. Could you give me a link or a starting point?
