NCR 53C90 Datasheet

I've been looking high and low on the Net for a datasheet for the NCR 53C90 SCSI controller that NeXT used.  I contacted Jeff Opt as mentioned in another thread, but no luck.  If anyone knows where this might be found please let me know.  I did manage to find a scan of the first page of the datasheet.

That would be awesome. :)   I read some old rumors that it might be possible to unlock a little bit of SCSI performance on Black Hardware with a new driver.  8)

 I'll dig it out tonight after work as well. :-)  Just remember the original Plan9 only ran on the non-turbo systems.   I'll post a mesage when I throw it on the web site.

Unfortunately, no.  IIRC, the NEXTSTEP driverkit has the source for a SCSI driver as an example, so maybe someone with the programming skills could use that as a starting point.

This is an old thread, so forgive me if you don't care anymore, but I was looking for the 53C90 datasheet for an entirely unrelated project (resurrecting a PDP-11 board which uses the 53C90A) and managed to find the original datasheet buried on one of those horrible datasheet sites under a different name.  It's the original 53C90 (not the A, which is faster and has an additional config register), but it should give you most of what you need, and if you need any of the A stuff, you can always look in the driver code for Linux, NetBSD, etc. for the differences.

I also spoke on the phone to Jeff Opt, who was very nice and polite, but said that the NCR archive doesn't really include specific device datasheets; it's really more for legal archives for patent defense (if I'm not misunderstanding him).

I wonder if trying to get the older datasheets from LSI (simplified progression: NCR microelectronics -> Symbios -> LSI) would be any more fruitful.

Hopefully this will make it a little easier to find the datasheet on Google, too!

If anyone does manage to find a PDF of the 53C90A datasheet (or finds the original dead-tree version and scans it), it would be tremendously helpful to a lot of classic computing folk.
