Hey everyone. I am attempting to write/publish a coffee table book on NeXT, titled "An Illustrated History of NeXT: Past, Present and Future).
I wish to include detailed images on the past of NeXT (prototypes, factory, assembly lines, mock-ups, etc). As well as information on NeXT's launch and in the late 80's and early 90's.
I will have a "present" section which will showcase what WE are all doing (and have been doing for the last couple years) with our NeXT systems.
Also will be a future section to showcase current worklogs/projects and what effect NeXT has had on future design of software, hardware and the computer industry.
This will be mostly photos, but would like to include specs and articles on work logs and projects.
I also would like to include peoples SHORT story's of NeXT, such as influential people who used it, or projects that used next (think web server, doom, etc..)
Anyway, I will need all of your help over the next year to help vote on content, to vote on the outline of the book. Also, need to get photos, information and CONTACT info on people we can interview who worked with NeXT or know people who worked with NeXT. Also, if anyone wishes to join the effort I could use the help, and need to find a publisher contact as well =).
sounds great :D I can help with nextstep/openstep screenshots and install media
oooo... This sounds awesome. I can help furnish "present" pics ;) since I use mine daily still :D
Cool. 8) There's a large collection of NeXT factory photo's mentioned in this thread:

If they're being published, though, copyright on those might be an issue.

That's true. Stanford mentions how to contact them for permission, but it may also require permission from the photographer. Complicated, complicated. :?
I have a full retail box for NS 3.2 including manuals, etc. If you need any pics just let me know.
I will contact Standford and ask permission, this EXACTLY the type of content I need you guys to help me with, thanks so much!!
