Developer disk permission error

When installing Developer NeXTStep 3.3 all software packages come up in error on installation, something about disk permission, what gives?

To log in as root do I just type su at prompt, not certain if this is root, how do I go about logging in as root. :?:

did you ever setup passwords for your users or are you using the default 'me' account with no password? you should just be able to log your user off and type in 'root' in the login panel and hit enter. if its a clean install, root wont have a password. if your account doesnt have a password, just add one and itll let you go to the login panel when you try logging off.

awesome! :) I ran into that problem when I first started using my NeXT. Didn't realize you had to set up the accounts to access root. Also, OpenSesame works for a lot of apps, but I've run into installers and what not that do not function correctly when you use it. I usually just log in as root to run installers and configure certain things instead of hoping opensesame will work correctly. ive never had sudo not work, though.
