Hello,

I've got a NeXTStation, I need to re-install NS, but I don't have CD.
I ear that it will be possible to have it trough apple or (I don't remember). Did anybody know more about it ?

Also, I have CDROm player LaCie STOL-HH-CD-CRW4260. It this is ok to re-install NS ?

Do you have a working floppy in the machine too?

that'll save you a BIG hassle.

I used some 24x SCSI cd I pulled from a DELL server, and it worked fine...

I doubt they still have them.. in 1999 it was a big deal, as all the black hardware is sold with NeXTSTEP, and as such is entitled to a copy of 3.3 with fix #3 to make it y2k compliant.

As for getting a CISC CD, you can ask apple, but I wouldn't hold my breath.  Of course you may want to just ask google about nextstep 3.3 cisc iso and see what you get.

OK for NS. I don't really like to use torent or other soft like this, but, ok for that.
I find lot of iso "NextSTEP 3.3 CISC (Intel x86+Motorola 68k)".

What about my CDdrive. Did you think it ok for install ?

.
Thank you everybody !!

The cd drive will *probably* be the least of your issues.... burning that disc as raw, not freaking out cause osx/windows/linux won't mount it (by default) and hoping that the m68k boot floppy 'just works'...

Don't worry it shouldn't be *THAT* bad.
