I was looking at prices for bulbs for my ancient fluorescent light I love and found this.
http://www.everled.com/everled-tr/?looks pretty sweet. Anything to lower noise and power consumption will be awesome. Plus it'll extend the life of my light (I'm going to assume, since an LED bulb will draw a LOT less power) which is around 30 years old.
Thought others might find this interesting.

Looks like half price at the second site - but even at that price it would be about $600.00 to retrofit the four fixtures in my garage - still a lot of light bulbs.

I'm kind of surprised no one has made a DIY of this yet, or found a plastic tube supplier with the correct or longer sized tubes ;)
