I have build a PC working with NEXTSTEP 3.3. It works well.
I have installed a SoundBlaster 16 PnP sound card. I can play sounds very well.
But I can't record sound with a microphone plugged.
The driver installed is Sound Blaster 16 PnP ( v3.34)
There is another driver available listed here :
Sound Blaster 16 PnP (8 bit DMA )( v3.34)
What does it mean ' 8 bits DMA '?
Does anybody have a idea to record sound with this sound card ?

Hey David,
Have you tried the SBSoundMidi.I.tar.gz/SBMixer.I.tar.gz drivers? I used to use that driver for one my SoundBlaster 16 cards a few years ago. It seemed to work better for system. It comes w/ the SBMixer.app as well. I might have modifiy the settings, but I do remember it worked well. If you need a copy, let me know. I can dig it out. I have it in the archives. Take care.

I have forgotten to say that I used the Sound.app of NEXTSTEP 3.3 on my PC and that I can't record Sound of my voice with a microphone plugged.
But I can play sounds with Sound.app.
