Title: Font encoding ?

I'm a bit confused with NeXT font encodings. I'd like to use a central european character set - I've tried some ISO8859-2 fonts, but they don't work correctly. Is there a proper encoding for CE characters on NS ? And a source of proper fonts ?

You can find lots of fonts pre-converted on several of the archives that might cover what you need.  RacerX also has a couple of pages on Fonts along w/ several you can download.  Here's a couple of links from his pages:

http://www.shawcomputing.net/resources/next/software/ns-os-rhap_fonts/NS-OS-Rhap_Fonts_1.html

http://www.rhapsodyos.org/system/fonts/fonts_1.html

I've had the best results converting TTF fonts using a program called TTFontConvert.app.  If you can't find it on one of the archives, let me know & I'll put it on my web server for you.  I've used it to convert hundreds of fonts from Windows/Mac's. :-)  Hope that helps.  Take care.
