Hi all,

Seeing how this forum is quite a 'community' I thought it'd be a good idea to introduce myself and my interests in NeXT.

I'm living in The Netherlands and work part time at an Apple reseller (beside my studies). I started being interested in Next following reading a lot on Steve Jobs and the Mac OS X. I ran NeXTSTEP in an emulator (VMWare Fusion) for a while (anyone need instructions, mail me), before looking for a machine of my own. One of the forum members from NL helped me out and set me up with a beautiful original configuration with a NeXTstation Turbo.

I'm running it with NeXTSTEP 3.3 and various apps form Peak and Peanuts archives. I transfer them via an AppleCD 600e on SCSI and use FTP to access my Mac's shared files. Also, I can print directly to a Laserjet 1200 connected to an Airport Express, that's pretty handy!

Here's a picture,

Greetings,

MahRain.

I was so surprised to find that my NeXTstation can play MP3's, I made this video!

Hello all,
I am a new member of the forum and will also use this topic to introduce my black hardware:
- 1 color slab
- 1 cube
I am currently thinking of upgrading the cube with an internal cd rom and a lager hard drive, and to use the slab as a printing station. But I have been saying that for years and never found the time to do it...
