I've updated my stuff on here:

http://gunkies.org/wiki/Installing_NeXTSTEP_on_Qemu

Since my qemu thread is so old, I can't make any changes to where the pictures link to... And sadly it seems the newer stuff can't run NeXTSTEP to any good extent.. Although OpenSTEP users are probably in luck with 0.10.5 as it's getting better VMWare emulated drivers...

Anyways 0.9.0 is still the 'best' version with the busmouse patch...

speaking of which, was there ever an 'updated' busmouse for 0.9.1++?

kb7sqi has it on his download site... Look down a bit on the forum and you'll see a thread about it. [At least I think it works now that I think about I'm not sure I ever got around to building 0.91, and I have since moved to a macmini + VirtualBox. But give it a whirl.]

Hey neozeed,
You can find the patch for 0.9.1 on the web server in the msic section.  Here's a direct link for ya. :-)

http://kb7sqi.dyndns.org/files/misc/busmouse-patch.diff.zip

Just FYI, I've tried 0.9.0, 0.9.1, & a couple of versions of 0.10.x.  I usually end up just going back to my 0.9.0 build which basically uses a modified version of your patch.  It still runs NS3.3/OS4.2 just fine for me on OpenSolaris.  Sure, it'd be nice to have the latest & greatest working, but the old version works just fine. :-)  Take care.

Yeah, it's odd that 0.90 seems to be overall the best release ever... and how it's just gotten worse ... :|

Even for some win64 stuff I needed 0.90 could run it, while 0.10.5 was.. a disaster.

Thanks for the reply, I know your busy as heck! ;)

The part that's gotten worse is how the code has really changed quite a bit since the older releases.  My mind's a little blank @ the moment, but if you look in the other qemu threads, you'll see I have posted about the one guy who keeps a "patch" for the newer versions of qemu that includes bus mouse/NeXT support.  It just didn't seem to work as well as the older release for me anyway.  I never had a great deal of time to work on it though.  These days, my "NeXT" time has been extremely limited unfortunately.  Anyway, if you'd like the guys info, I'll dig it up once I get back.  I'd be happy to pass it on to you. :-)  Take care.
