My friend picked up an 040 cube and while we are diagnosing the hard drive won't spin up and it's not the original and the owner is insisting he play with the jumpers) it wants to keep netbooting.
I'm pressing command ~ and it's doing nothing. Any suggestions?
EDIT: It feels like it's doing the diagnostics and then it immediately attempt so netboot and that's it. At no time do I see the ROM monitor or anything The last owner must of been trying something really weird.
pull the battery and leave it 'dead' for a day.....
I recall my board being like that so many years ago... it was somewhat straight forward to 'fix' as I use it now.......
But then it's been so long I don't even remember jumpers on the board...
so... I could be totally wrong, but pull the battery it should drop a lot of it's settings.. allowing you to halt it into the rommon.
Pulling the battery didn't do anything :(
