Title: Two monitors at same time on Cube??

I used to own a cube years and years ago.  Had a NeXTcube with Dimension card.  I had a NeXT 20" Color Display connected to it and I "think", and the same time, had the NeXT mono monitor connected to it.

I don't remember if I could use both at the same time or had to turn one off to use the other or what but can someone tell me how that all works for multi-monitor.

If you can run both at same time, is it like a Mac that you have an extended desktop and not just mirror image.

Thanks

tj

You can run both at the same time and its an extended display. No mirroring. You can actually run up to 4 displays off a cube provided you have 3 Dimensions :)

It was important to have this ability back then as color high resolution displays were prohibitively expensive, so it was easier to continue using a high resolution grayscale display and have a smaller second (still expensive) color display for seeing what you needed to in color. This was done on the Mac side of things back then as well.
