Just curious if your NeXT systems sit idle 99% of the time or actually have day to day use for certain things?
Anyone use a NeXT still for businesses? Day to day operations of running your business? Only get used once a year?
Just curious what everyone is doing with their NeXTs.

I use my Cube as my irc window... via an ssh session. It runs just fine in Terminal.app. Otherwise it's my emergency email solution via Mail.app and various additions (thank kb7sqi!). Browsing even with OmniWeb 3.1 and the various plugins is terribly slow on 32Megs of RAM. Other stuff like WordPerfect runs great but I don't have a huge need to write stuff usually. Otherwise I just test all the NeXT software I can get my hands on and sometimes use some of it for real stuff but not business.
I generally use mine for IMing, IRC, SSH, document editing, nethack and a few other things a few times a week. Whenever I get back to upgrading it, I'll start using it more.
I don't have black hardware, but I still use my OPENSTEP systems (SPARCstation 10 and ThinkPad 760ED) quite a bit. But then again I use most of the same applications across OPENSTEP/Rhapsody/Mac OS X, so moving around between those environments isn't that hard (as long as I'm not needing features of the newer versions of those apps). And most people don't know (and frankly don't care) that the stuff I'm make was made in an older environment as they are looking at the content and quality of my work, not what tools I'm working with.
As for the amount of time I spend on them... I use the ThinkPad every so often, but the SPARCstation is actually idle most of the time (unless I'm doing something where the larger display comes in handy).
