I am a bit confused on the whole ADB and non ADB issues when it comes to both the NeXT Megapixel Mono Displays and soundboxes.
I understand they made both a ADB and non ADB Mono Monitor. I understand they also made ADB and non ADB soundboxes.
Where I get confused is what can work on what NeXT hardware.
For now, lets focus on the NeXTcube with this question.
Can the NON ADB Mono Display work on a NeXTcube Turbo that is ADB? Am I correct that YES, it will work, but I would have to use the non ADB mouse and keyboard? If it does work, does sound and mic still work on the mono monitor or do I lose something in this approach?
Then about Soundboxes.... I have a NeXTcube 25MHz non adb system. The monitor is the original N4000 that had NO MIC. I would like a Mic so could I connect a NON ADB Soundbox to the Cube and have it bypass the sound coming from the mono display and have it instead play from the soundbox plus get to use the Mic in the same soundbox.
Hope all that makes sense. I am about to buy a non adb soundbox but want to make sure I will get to hear sound and use the Mic from it connected to NeXTcube 25MHz using the N4000 non Mic'ed mono display.
Maybe the sound comes from both monitor and soundbox and I get a stereo effect. hehehe
