Small point: the monitors don't have ADB-ness. You're looking for the latter model of monochrome monitor. (Forgot who made which but it's the one with the upgraded cathode design.)

I thought NeXT had 2 models. The non adb model that only worked with the non adb keyboard and mouse. Then had the newer model with adb port that only worked with the newer sleeker adb keyboard and mouse. I want to use the adb keyboard so want the adb ported model. So, I would call it a adb model as it will not work with non adb devices, correct? It has the letter B in the model number. Tj
Blackhole probably has dozens of these things. Most non-ADB soundboxes floating around these days come from swapping the boards between a non-ADB monitor and an ADB soundbox.
if you want I will swap the non-adb module from your CRT for a adbmodule (Install the adb module into your CRT and you have converted it to a adbCRT), PM if you are interested.

So if I take this tight, if I had a spare ADB soundbox I could remove the guts from it and swap it with the guts of the non ADB display and all ports line up proper and no mods need to be done to the display for the ADB items to install?
Or will the display need to be modded someplace for the adb board to line up and connect inside?
Or are the guts you speak of and have are the actual adb monitor guts (different than the soundbox adb guts) that you happen to have there and will swap with me for my non add guts?

I checked with Rob before and he only has non ADB models.

If you can get an ADB sound card you can convert a 4000a monitor, NONADB, to an ADB monitor.

For some reason I thought the adb card from a adb soundbox would not fit a 4000A proper. I will give it a whirl then.
