I could have swore I saw a thread about what way the fan in a cube supposed to blow but search is not finding it for me. Anyway...
What is the correct direction the fan supposed to blow? Does it supposed to suck air in from the rear and blow it to the rear of the hard drive and floppy drive out the front of the cube. That is how mine is. I get a steady air flow blowing my wonderful hair on my balding head when I sit in front of it. hehehe
Or, does it supposed to suck the hot air from inside the cube out the rear?
I would think the way I have it now is correct so it blows any dust at the rear of the drives inside of sucking dust into the floppy drive.
Anyway, what is the direction NeXT said it should be?

The air is to flow out the front. This way if you had an optical drive and optical drive filter the air would blow on the filter. The air would not be sucked into the front of the optical drive.
Note that at least early cubes were configured so the airflow was indeed front to back, which did not help the floppy/OD reliability. I don't know when, but I think at some point they switched that and recommended those who had them already reverse the fans...
