I have lines on all my pages coming from a NeXT Laser Printer. Lines in same spot as seen in the attached link to a picture of my pages. The toner is new just installed, installed a new cleaning pad (the one near the hot fusing unit on back that spans width of printer), and wiped the thin diagonal and vertical wires as described in the owners manual using a qtip.
So, what would cause this same line in the same spot?
Please note, after I installed a new toner unit I forgot to install that cleaning pad in back. So, I ran maybe 3 to 4 pages through the printer without that pad installed at all. Those first 3 to 4 pages were perfect. Printer has now sat for maybe 2 to 3 weeks and I go to print and see the lines and poor print. So, I noticed I had no cleaning pad in there so put one in today along with cleaning the thin wires.
Any tips would be great!

* I should add, the new toner was an Apple Laser Writer II toner I fetched in eBay. No way for me to know how old it is but yes, it could be quite old, although it was factory packed in baggie. Maybe toner will go bad after several years? I only used this new toner to print from this printer and the first 3 to 4 pages were perfect so think the toner unit is fine.
*EDIT* I had a extra old toner laying around that came with my other NeXTlaser and stuck that in. After 15 prints or so, that line, in the same spot mind you, has went mostly away. It is still at the edges but it seems once the other old toner unit went in, maybe it is cleaning something else up. I will try wiping all down again and if I get nice prints with the old toner, will switch back and see if the problem comes back. Maybe the new toner is bunk.
