Looking for NEXT cube hard drive with nextstep 3.3 and other useful NEXT

software?Let me know price and shipping32935. Got a cube but harddrive

just clicks and won't boot up.

A Cube or any NeXT system will be happy with almost any SCSI hard drive you can find. NS 3.3 though limits you to 2gb per partition on the disk.

Have an original 661 MB cube drive with openstep 4.2 in working condition.
But it´s located in Berlin, Germany, Europe.

Be careful, some SCSI drives don't play too well, particularly IBM drives, same with Fujitsu, I've never got them to work they come up with a lot of bus errors.  Narrow Seagates usually work very well, I think I have a 'cuda 18XL in my cube.  I have a 9gb Medalist Pro in my slab that works fine, though I think I had to make a disktab for it.

If you want minimal aggravation then a Hawk/Cuda 4LP will work out of the box, beware Apple firmware Seagate drives are not recognized correctly and you'll have to make a disktab.  I'd avoid a Cheetah 4LP as they get a bit hot and are no faster in a cube than a Hawk.

Hello Rob T: I canhelp you out if still interested, I did a fresh install of Openstep 4.2 User, Developer and Y2k patches on a Seagate Barracuda 4Gb drive includes external Terminator $59.95 and $12.00 Shipping USPS US and Canada, I can add 3 Gb of NeXT 3rd party apps for $40 , $99.95 total with shipping $111.95. These work great out of the box and have sold hundreds over the years. Need a set of courtesy back up cd's , I'll make them , we have Apples blessing for $49!  

We accept paypal for payment to sales@blackholeinc.com also have a 426Mb drive with 3.3 user on it for $29.95

Even if you don't buy one from me and need help troubleshooting, no problem , I'll help you get her back up and running free!

Well nobody had one for sale so went with BlackHole and got my hard drive and scsi cable. Thanks Rob            :D
