Hi All:
Just a FYI for all NeXTies here, as much as it pains me to do so (ouch) I'm selling my cube setup on eBay (I need to raise some cash fast...).
Last week I had an auction running for it which got over 300 pageviews and 14 "watchers" but no bids. Yesterday I re-Listed with a lower starting bid and "reserve price" (even though that costs more on eBay).
The relisting immediately got 15 "watchers" in the first 24 hours, and the current high bid is $849, which was my reserve point... so it will sell this time for sure, reserve met, but remains to be seen if it will go higher than 849 or not in the next few days.
My listing is here in case anyone's interested...

Thanks,
-JC
(P.S. Soon as I get my money problem solved I'm sure I'll be back and buying another NeXT... heh)
I was one of those "watchers" on the auction. I often put NeXT auctions on my watch list so I can keep track of where they finally end up.
Helps me keep tabs on what "the market" is on my gear. I don't think I'll be able to fund my retirement out of the whole stash of NeXT/Apple/Sun/misc down the basement, but the trend is going the right way :D
Well it's up to 60 watchers now, and over 800 page views, LOL
I'm sure some of those 60 are other ppl like Scutboy from here who are just curious to see how it will finish. But only 3 actual bids so far? Looks like most everyone is waiting 'till the last minute to SNIPE bid... we'll see.
FINAL RESULT (for those interested...)71 "watchers" generated 1,072 page views in the 7 day auction.
6 bids total in the end, starting at $299 and ending final winning bid $885 (my reserve price was $849)
. .

Shipping cost about $100 (not sure, have not taken it to UPS yet)

All in all, not bad but still less than the (apparently) going rate for Cubes from other auctions (the only other one listed on eBay now is starting at $999 for cube alone) or from Black Hole ($995 base rate?)
Wow,
Cubes are getting expensive, even without a dimension board. Who's buying all of these Cubes? Hedge fund managers? :?:
