When I got my NeXTSTATION the mouse was missing (lost in transition  ). I found a replacement on eBay but it will take a few days to arrive and I would like to install NeXTSTEP now.
So is there a way to move the cursor with the keyboard like in earlier versions of Windows?
Nope. Sorry dude! Not unless you have ADB soundbox. Someone should make a PS/2 or serial adaptor.... 8)
Well, I have the ADB soundbox (N4004A). By now I also have a NeXT mouse on order which is hopefully ADB. I will know when I'm back home on Saturday.
I don't know if the signals from a PS/2 mouse are compatible with with the ADB standard. If it is and only the connector is different then it shouldn't be a big deal to make an adapter.
Though it might be easier to just get an Apple ADB mouse. It only should be a 2 button type. I think this one for sale on eBay should work: Apple 2 Button ADB Square Mouse (

But for my mono slab I will need a non-ADB mouse and keyboard. If I can't find originals what would work as a replacement? Are the non-ADB NeXT mice compatible to P/S2?
