I can't seem to be able to install "DeveloperLibs.pkg" after I installed successfully "DeveloperTools.pkg". It runs, I select "Install", use the default "Intel/English" options, click "Install" and the Installer simply quits back to the desktop.
I created an image on my computer, ran OS4.2 in VirtualBox, and it installed just fine (actually it choked a few times, but then worked fine).
Anyone knows what's going on? I can't see any error messages. I even went inside the .pkg directory and tried to "zcat DeveloperLibs.tar.Z | tar xvf -" but it complains about bad directory thing and fails.
EDIT:
I tried another approach. I ran Installer.app instead of double clicking the .pkg icon. I then opened the DeveloperLibs.pkg and it installed without a problem. This is a little disturbing... but alas, it's super duper geeky cool!
I think i had similar situation, if you read carefully the install logs, installing the second package (or third?) from the packages list in the cd directory, gives an error that before installing libs you must first install the tools.
