My mouse seems to just hang out on the left side of the screen, it can go up and down though it has no ability to move anywhere else on the screen. The only problem I can see is that my keyboard seems to be missing one pin on the connection end of the cable to the sound box. This has happened once before although it was not so drastic and did resolve itself, what's up?

it's possible that you may just need to clean the gunk out of your mouse.

Make sure your mouse dimensions are set correct. I doubt it's this though if you're sure it fixes itself (which means a pin problem)

it could also be a broken cable. the non-adb mice tend to break wires near the mouse end of the cable. fixing means cutting off the cable a centimeter from the mouse and resoldering the wires to the pcb inside.
