How does one restore "black" workspace icons?

I know that there is a way to do this however the knowledge has long since fallen out of my head.

I'm about to upgrade my cube from NS 2.1 to 3.3 and it's always gnawed at me to see the white hardware icons in workspace when I'm running black hardware.  Blah!
