Sounds like an interesting idea... though I would think that we would want a NEXTSTEP native version (along with other versions for other platforms).

We may want to e-mail this guy anyways...

There is no Darwin in Mac OS X Server 1.0... and the database is missing 1.0.1, 1.0.2, 1.2, 1.2v3, 10.0.3 (first version based on Mac OS X), and 10.0.4.

Further, what people were calling the unattractive NeXT-like interface became the standard for Mac OS X. And if we were to look even closer at Rhapsody, it actually is more like Mac OS 8/9 than NEXTSTEP/OPENSTEP as both Rhapsody and Mac OS 8 adopted the Copland GUI elements at the same time. Mac OS X has been getting more and more like NEXTSTEP/OPENSTEP with each subsequent release.

I would like to use the app, and collect data. If we'd just get like an Excel sheet to fill in with data, or a Filemaker file or something, we could just fill in the database as a team effort and upload it into the app.

The backport to NeXTSTEP would be difficult tho'
