Dear friends,

I have an offer of a complete Next configuration: Nextstation + monitor + mouse + keyboard (German software) + a couple of German Next magazines. Everything is fully functional and in perfect shape. What would be a realistic price to pay?

Thanks for you recommendations.

Best,

Gerald

As usual - it depends :-).

Actually, it depends on quite a number of facts. A monochrome non-Turbo NeXTstation with a basic configuration (8 MB RAM, 105 MB HD) and a worn-out Megapixel display isn't worth a lot - I would say, definitely far less than $100/€100.

On the other hand, a fully-equipped Turbo Color ADB station with lots of RAM and a large HD, in addition perhaps a LCD screen or adapter cable instead of the old Sony or Philips/Hitachi monitor, might still be able to fetch several hundred $/€ on ebay.

One could expect that the prices for used NeXTs now might go up due to some kind of Steve Jobs memorial effect... but I rather doubt it.

"in perfect shape." can means a lot.
100EUR is maybe for a working system in used shape, missing rollers for the monitor, slightly dimm one, stickers on the case and so on.
