After nearly 20 years, my printer has developed the "Printer Cover Open" fault. Checked the four obvious microswitches for continuity and they appear good. Tried extending the tap on the cover that engages two of the switches. No go. I did get two minutes of functioning after a reboot but that's been the only sign of life.
So, I guess I'm going to have to dig into the guts. And rather than take this all apart myself, I'm hoping there's a service manual out there. Just knowing the layout of the cable runs would be a boost.
Any pointers out there?
