It is sitting in storage now for 7 years since its hdd died. The Problem it's that I do not have access to that rare external axis ED FDD Drive, the OD drive died 10 years ago (cleaning did not help) and the 040 update board is not able to directly boot from CDROM ..... Any idea how I can produce a NetBoot image to install a new hdd?
Any help appreciated!

One alternative - if you send me a hard disk (to Dortmund), I can install NS3.3 or OS4.2 for you.

I also have a v2.5 ROM and do not have a scsi floppy drive handy to boot with.. I have an external scsi AppleCD and a few scsi zip drives, that's about it.
Anyone have an answer to the question? (Installing with netboot?)
Netbooting is covered in a number of threads if you have a look. It's not difficult to setup so long as you control your own network (I mean the dhcp+dns side of things). [/url]
