Hi all.
Some might remember my post from late November last year, when I posted a request for a free Cube. I knew it was a long-shot, and I prepared myself for the inevitable flame-war, sure to ensure from my audacity. I could not have been more in the wrong.
Not long after, Gavin replied with an offer, too good to be true; a free Cube from his (I estimate *vast*) collection of NeXT hard- and software. Others on the forum posted very nice replies, indicating I was not only wrong about the potential flame war, but I indeed became embarrassed over myself and my prejudice towards the spirit of the community.
Long story short; A friend of mine, who frequents Connecticut from Denmark, and who was visiting with friends of his in Gavin's home town of Providence, R.I. for New Years, volunteered to pick up the Cube, and bring it back with him to Denmark, and I'm picking it up on Wednesday, the 25th of January.
My only hope now, is that I might repay Gavin and the rest of the community, by at least helping to provide current software support for this fantastic platform in general, and this Dusey of a computer in particular.
Thank you for reading this post, for being part of the community, and a special "Thank you" goes out to Gavin.

Awesome.
Just a quick note to add that I had an absolutely superb experience with Gavin as well, a few months back. He is an awesome person and excellent to deal with!
He hooked me up with a monitor cable for my mono Turbo slab. A real nice guy all the way. If I'd only known he was giving away Cubes! ;)
Always a pleasure doing business with Gavin.
Gavin has been great to me as well, even hung by during a rocky start.
Thanks Gavin.

I hate to bring up an old thread my first post here but I've been activated just today after a bit of a wait. If feel like I know many of you from occasionally reading the posts over the years and more recently wearing out the search feature after acquiring a Cube and Turbo Color slab.
I found an auction that gtnicol had and reached out through contacting him through the auction and he has been very generous with odds and ens to help get my Turbo Color ready for prime time.
I took the time to thank him personally but also want to thank those who have persevered through trying to get the MO drives working. As someone cupping his hands at the door of this community, looking in and being unable to get in, I can finally thank everyone in general for being an awesome community.
Gavin (now knowing his name) is awesome and I hope I can "pay it forward" and contribute to get these wonderful machines working.
