NeXT hardware, software, marketing materials, magazines, original packaging, and more.

I am willing to sell this but only all together in one go and also only for serious offers (above €5000, excluding transport cost) given the extreme rarity of many items. Otherwise, I'd rather keep it for sentimental reasons.

Except for the 21" NeXT color monitor, all hardware works. No warranty, of course.

I am located in The Netherlands, near the German town of Aachen.

Send me a pm if you are interested. Don't bother mailing me for single items (unless you really want that paper clip for €5000, I'll throw in the rest for free :wink:)

One item is excluded from the sale: the lapel pin.

The picture is of the separate board I have. I am certain that the one in my Cube is a 33MHz 040. Hostinfo says so.

The separate board was in the Cube before I updated it. I think it must be a 25MHz 040.

Aside: I think I had to pay something like $1300 for the upgrade. Those were the days...

interesting! I know that NeXT has built stations with the turbo-board containing a CPU clocked at 25MHz (very late models). the cube board on your picture is definitely a turbo. and you're 100% certain it runs at 25MHz? can anyone confirm this?

edit:
I checked again: there's nothing mentioned anywhere about cube turbo boards containing a non-turbo CPU. hm....  :?:

It is a long while ago, but I vaguely remember that it was a difficult decision to buy the upgrade because I already had a 040.

I probably can find it in the documents/mail about the purchase of the original machine.

25MHz cube mainboard ->

33MHz cube mainboard ->

there are three possibilities:

1) you mixed up the boards (you didn't: on the label of the upgrade board packaging it says serial#ADA0011061 NeXTcube Turbo CPU Board and the serial of the ??25MHz?? board is ADA0010436)

2) you have two turbo-boards (since there's nothing mentioned anywhere about cube turbo boards containing a non-turbo CPU i guess that #ADA0010436 is a Turbo too).

3) you've got a very, very rare item: cube turbo mainboard with a non-turbo CPU on it (unlikely)

BTW: the serial# of my cube turbo-board is just 58 units apart from your allegedly "non-turbo" ...
