Hi, all.

I have various versions of our favorite OS running in VMware Fusion 4, running on Mountain Lion.  I have noticed that all of my VMs crash pretty quickly (but not immediately) after I press either the alt key or the command key with keyboard focus on the VM.

I first noticed this when connecting via VNC with Remotix, but I have noticed that Chicken of the VNC does the same thing.  I have also noticed that the VMware Fusion console app does not have this problem.

Specifically with OS 4.2, cmd-h will not hide an app, but alt-h should (and does using the VMware Fusion app).  With Remotix, pressing cmd-h sends an h to the app, and alt-h crashes the VM.

I'm hoping that someone else has seen this and knows how to get around it.

Thanks, all.

Hmm, as I use it more, I find that alt-h crashes NS 3.3 and OS 4.2 VMs if done from the VMware Fusion app as well, so it isn't just a Remotix or Chicken of the VNC thing... :(

Well, I figured out why they were crashing: on a whim I removed the SoundBlaster driver, and now when I press alt-h or cmd-h, the VMs do not crash.

Unfortunately, however, I cannot use any command key shortcuts. :(

cmd-h just sends a 'h' to the app, and alt-h does nothing.

Any ideas on that one?
