Title: VMware - CPU has been disabled

Greetings, all.

Those of you who run OPENSTEP/NeXTSTEP in VMware know of the dialog box that VMware gives you when you shut down the NeXT:

"The CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system.  Power off or reset the virtual machine."

Is there any way to get VMware to just power off the machine, instead of me having to do it manually?

I've tried searching the VMware forums and Google, but I haven't come up with anything useful.  So, I thought I'd ask here, which is probably the best place anyway.

Thanks.

For those who are interested, I contacted someone at VMware, and he suggested that I try the following.  It isn't supported, and your results may vary, but it did work for me.

QuoteYou might try adding this switch to your vmx file for this VM:

gui.exitOnCLIHLT = "TRUE"
