Has anyone tried one of these as a nice monochrome display? Most of them seem to be black bezels and thy are still made in 4:3 aspect ration. Seems like they could go well as a replacement for a dim old 17 inch display. They also seem to have VGA connectors.
Dimension users already can use LCD panels, so it is less of an issue on those.
even used (medical) greyscale LCDisplays seem to be quite expensive. I bought a NeXT mono-to-VGA converter cable on e*ay ->

works like a charm with my (color) SAMSUNG SyncMaster 213T.
