Good though Parallels is I'm hoping this has better mouse support.

But I thought VMWares PS/2 emulation as far as Nextstep was concerned was definatly lacking.

Although FWIW I love qemu since its disk access is a zillion times faster than virtual pc, although its sad to see vpc dead.

Yes I've tried OS 4.2 under VMware workstation 4.0 and 4.5 under Windows 2000 a while ago and the mouse sucked big time, at that time I did a bit of scouring and found that apparently VMware under Linux did not suffer the same ills, I never tried it as I don't particualry like Linux (not a big fan of Windows either).  However the good news if that somebody on this forum (Morgon) wrote a mouse driver which can be found here:

VMware is probably the most robust and mature Emmulator/Virtual machine on the X86 platform so it would be worth it to give it a shot and see what happens, all of them so far have short comings, Parallels is fine except when you load up OPENSTEP in the machine the mouse goes to hell while it's loaded.

There is also a specific VMware video driver to install in OPENSTEP as well.  Hopefully it will have a supported NIC.

It's a beta so the only thing lost is the time taken to install it and config it.
